Facebook Launches Video Calling With Skype

by Tasha Palmer
Share

Facebook has done it again! Facebook has partnered with Skype to create live video chat. It gives users the ability to call friends by just clicking on the call button at the top of your friend’s profile or chat window.

The video chat is currently just one-on-one but it could be opened up to group chat capabilities.

This new feature is now live and does not require Skype to be downloaded to your computer. There is a plugin used within Facebook which will add the feature within 20-30 secs. It can be found by visiting Facebooks video calling page.

3 Traps To Happiness – Ways That Maybe Unknowingly Making You Unhappy

by Tasha Palmer

Many people chase happiness day after day and year after year because they are not really sure what makes them happy. Part of it is because they are falling into happiness traps without realizing it. There are 3 common traps  to happiness that keeps people from experiencing true happiness.

Trap 1 - Postponing happiness

This is the idea that happiness will come when you…make more money, get that promotion, accomplish that goal, get that house, go on vacation, etc. The reality is that happiness is not a destination. It is not a ‘wait until I’ emotion. Happiness is something that is within and it begins with who you are right NOW. If you can’t find happiness now then you sure won’t be TRULY happy later.

Many times people are under the assumption that something like winning the lottery will take care of their problems. That is a façade. When you are not happy before money, you will be just as unhappy with money because it will only enhance the issues.  Click Here To Read The Full Post...

Using and managing my time effectively plays a huge role in implementing and finishing projects.  I would imagine that you feel the same way. The Underdogs Prevail 71-61…See How You Can Learn From VCU’s recent triumph.

March Madness is the time of year that I am extremely excited about. I love college sports…particularly basketball and football. However, during this time of year it is all about basketball. And I must say, the excitement is even greater because I know on any day any team can win no matter what their background.

Now you may not know anything about college basketball or sports, for that matter, but there is something extraordinary about watching a team like VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) advance to the Final 4 (one of the last four teams left in tournament).

No one thought that they would succeed. They even had to play an additional game just to get in the tournament. Why? Because the committee didn’t believe VCU was good enough to select them out right. Instead they gave them a chance to earn there way in the tournament. VCU is now two games away from winning the championship. Will they win…I don’t know but I do know they won’t go down without a fight.  Click Here To Read The Full Post...

Overcoming Negativity – Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life and Business…Part 2

by Tasha Palmer

Take the time to read part 1 here…

You may not realize, but the things around us have a significant effect on how we think. Your complete environment…the type of music, movies, television, magazines, etc all make you feel or think a certain way.

Everything that surrounds you influences your thinking. For example, if you associate with people who speak words of doubt and unbelief, don’t be surprised if you find it difficult to believe and have  faith in yourself when you are challenged.

Negative words produce negative thinking. Negative thinking produces negative feelings and emotions, which produce negative decisions. Negative decisions produce negative actions, which produce negative habits. Negative habits produce negative character, which leads you to a negative destination. This is why it is so important to surround yourself with positive things and people.  Click Here To Read The Full Post...
