The Beginning…
I grew up in Joplin, MO (As many of you may know as the recently tornado stricken city…I must say it is very sad for me. Please donate if you can). I had a wonderful childhood in a middle class family home. I was an active yet sociable kid. I suppose I got that from my father. I can remember him playing in basketball leagues and speaking to strangers in stores (as if he had known them for years). Still to this day, I still have those same traits. I just can’t help myself J. I was also a talented kid. I played sports; basketball, volleyball, track (for a short time) and I was even part of a bowling league. I also had (have) a natural knack for things within the arts. I can draw, be a hairstylist (if I want), design, and many other things. Because I observed these talents early, I was even able to create income for myself while in middle school (So the entrepreneur spirit has been in me for a long time). However, at that time I really didn’t know what that meant so I always took the path that most familiar.
After graduating high school, I went to college. I wouldn’t change that choice even if I had the option. I had a BLAST and met wonderful friends. However, by the time I was junior I didn’t know what I wanted for my life. By my senior year, my grades where slipping and I contemplated quitting school. Well that though was short lived because 1) I am not a quitter and 2) I would have broken my families heart. So I toughed it out and graduated.
After graduation, I was confused as ever. I didn’t have the slightest idea what I wanted for my life. I just knew it wasn’t my current situation. Unsure of what I truly wanted out of life, I enrolled back in school (about 6 months after graduating) to get my MBA with an emphasis in Technology Management just because I thought that was the best thing for me to do. But ultimately I really didn’t have much direction for my life.
However, going to back to school was helpful. It helped me find my desires again…my feel for life began to return. It was during this time I started searching for my passions.
Changing my outlook….
I have always been a motivated and determined individual but I realized that in itself was not enough. It is easy to say that you are going to strive to be a better person, have a better life, be successful, etc but it actually happening is a different story.
While in graduate school, I began to dig deep within myself to discover who I was and what wanted out of life. But the more I strived to do better and succeed, the harder it seemed accomplishable. It always seemed like I would take 5 steps forward only to be knocked back 7. I just did not understand what I was doing wrong. It was not until I did a major overhaul on my life before I started to see things change.
I had to make some changes to my attitude, the way I looked at life, people I associated with, my confidence; my overall being was not in a success attracting state. As I begin to make those changes I noticed that I had a sense of relief and relaxation. I felt confident and excited about life again. At that point, I knew I did not want to go back to the person that I was before.
To ensure that wouldn’t happen, I started practicing a positive attitude at ALL TIMES! It was difficult at the beginning but the more I practiced focusing on the positive the easier it became. It also made it easier to spot new opportunities that I wouldn’t have otherwise noticed. Changing my outlook helped to realize that things may not happen exactly the way I want but they always, always work out in some form.
I also realized that TRUE SUCCESS works out when you are emotionally ready. In other words, my life started to change when I changed my mindset and outlook on life. As hard as I worked before, it just was not my time. I was not ready! If I had gained success, I would not have known what to do with. Ultimately, I would have probably found myself back in the same situation I left; stressed out, in debt, emotionally overwhelmed, and things never working out for the best.
Being Empowered…
My life was changing and it felt AMAZING! I had gotten rid of all trash and unnecessary B.S. out of my life. I let go of an unproductive relationship, people in my circle that were not in sync with my progress, my bad attitude, and that lost person I had become. My life was changing before my eyes. The right people were coming into my life, Money is POURING into my Account. FINALLY! The hard work paid off.
You Have The Power!
You many not realize it but as human beings we are so very powerful. Way more powerful beyond what we realize. For example, at this moment, you are creating your life through your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Right at this very moment!
You have the power to create the reality that you choose…
The problem is that most people are conditioned to believe that they are limited. They believe that they are predestined to be broke, unhappy, and unsuccessful. That is so far from the truth. You have the POWER to create anything you choose to do. Once you are able to overcome self doubt, your insecurities, fears, and the beliefs that are holding you back, you can step into TRUE empowerment. You will then be able to take full control of your life.
Also understand that real wealth is not about ‘getting rich’. It is being satisfied with who you are…once you are truly satisfied with that; you will realize you have everything that you need to have abundance within.
Real wealth and success will come when you are empowered… The more you develop and grow within yourself, the more successful you will ultimately be. Being an entrepreneur is not just about making money. It is about having total and utter FREEDOM!
Freedom to spend your time the way you choose, freedom to pursue your true passions in life, freedom from financial worries, freedom to give back to the world in your own special and unique way…
…And when you truly understand how to be empowered while building your business, you will be able to create some MASSIVE wealth for yourself.
